The complex in which the Associazione Museo Fornace Pagliero 1814 is located is located where, at the end of the eighteenth century, the historic Pagliero Michele factory was born. Here, after a careful conservative renovation, the old Fornace chain was reactivated, giving new life to the historic ceramic industry.
Here, among rooms and galleries of particular architectural interest, the historical memory of the homeland of Castellamonte ceramics is preserved. Despite being the oldest, it has survived practically intact over time. It is configured as a symbolic place of ceramic art and work, through precious objects, including period equipment, authentic molds and old matrices. This setting becomes the exhibition space where excellent craftsmanship, history and culture meet, mixing with the territory and traditions. Wandering around these places, William Morris's theory on the social dimension of art as a practical exercise that resolves itself in the craft comes to mind.
